Your order
When you place an order you are offering to buy what is in your basket. The contract is made when we confirm your order by email. If we cannot supply something, we tell you and do not charge you for it; if you have already paid for it, we refund you.
Prices and paying
Prices are in pounds sterling and are the prices shown when you order. The checkout shows the total, with any delivery charge, before you pay. If a price on the site is plainly wrong, we tell you before we accept your order.
Delivery
The delivery options and their cost are shown at the checkout before you pay. Unless we agree a time with you, we deliver without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract being made. If you buy as a consumer, the goods are our responsibility until they reach you, or a person you have named to receive them.
Changing your mind (consumers)
If you buy as a consumer (not for your business), you can cancel within 14 days of the day you receive the goods, without giving a reason (the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). If your order arrives in several parts, the 14 days run from the day you receive the last part.
- Tell us that you are cancelling, by email or phone, within those 14 days.
- Send the goods back within 14 days of telling us. You pay the direct cost of returning them, unless they are faulty or not as described.
- We refund what you paid, including the standard delivery cost, within 14 days of getting the goods back, or of you giving us evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is sooner. If you chose a dearer delivery than our standard one, the difference is not refunded. If you cancel before the goods are sent, we refund you within 14 days of you telling us.
- We refund in the way you paid. If the goods have been handled more than you would need to see what they are and how they work (as you could in a shop), we may take the loss in their value off the refund.
What cannot be cancelled
The law does not give the right to cancel for:
- goods made to your own specification, or clearly personalised;
- goods sealed for health or hygiene reasons, once unsealed after delivery;
- sealed software, once unsealed after delivery;
- goods that, after delivery, are by their nature mixed inseparably with other items;
- digital content, such as a software licence or an activation, once we have started to supply it with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you then lose the right to cancel.
Buying for your business
If you buy for your business, the right to cancel above does not apply. Returns of unused goods are by agreement with us. The goods must still match their description, be of satisfactory quality and be fit for purpose (the Sale of Goods Act 1979).
If something is faulty
If you are a consumer, the goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose (the Consumer Rights Act 2015). If they are not:
- within 30 days of delivery, you can reject them and have a full refund;
- after that, or if you prefer, we repair or replace them. If a repair or replacement is not possible, or does not put the fault right, you can have a price reduction, or reject the goods for a refund;
- a fault that shows within six months of delivery is taken to have been there when the goods were delivered, unless we show otherwise.
Tell us first, by email or phone, and we arrange the return. We pay the reasonable cost of returning faulty goods. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the law.
Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your statutory rights are not affected.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in the courts where you live.
